Valérie Fleur Ryser received her first singing lessons at the Winterthur Conservatory. She completed her bachelor's degree at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where she also made her role debut as Le Feu in Maurice Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges. She initiated several recitals and also staged the project Frauenbilder (Images of Women) – opera scenes with chamber orchestra.

From September 2023 to June 2025, she was a member of the Swiss Opera Studio in Biel, where she completed her Master's degree in Performance Specialised Opera at the HKB with Tanja Ariane Baumgartner. She made her debut at the Biel Solothurn Theatre Orchestra as Alpengeist in the world premiere of Heidi feiert Weihnachten by Fabian Müller. This was followed by her stage debuts as Barbarina in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro, Servilia in La clemenza di Tito and Papagena in Die Zauberflöte in Bühnen Bern.

Her artistic development has been enriched by masterclasses with renowned artists including Edith Wiens, Krystian Lada,
Hanno Müller-Brachmann, Malcolm Walker, Edward Rushton and Stefan Wirth.

In addition she sang the Swiss national anthem a cappella and solo for prominent politicians at the Federal Palace in Bern during the swearing-in ceremony for the Council of States. She is a two-time prizewinner of the 33rd International Singing Competition of the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg and subsequently performed at the Opera Gala with the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt under the baton of Azis Sadikovic. In spring 2025, she appeared at the Rheinsberg Easter Festival in the matinee concert Der Traum von Arkadien.

As part of the Ticino Musica Festival, she made her debut as Musetta in Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème.

From October 2026, Valérie Fleur Ryser will continue her studies at mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where she will study with Hartmut Keil, Helen Malkowsky, and Laura Leigh Aikin. In spring 2027, she will make her debut as Sophie in Jules Massenet’s Werther at the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn.
