Valérie Fleur Ryser received her first singing lessons at the Winterthur Conservatory. She completed her bachelor's degree at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where she also made her role debut as ‘Le Feu’ in Maurice Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges. She initiated several recitals and also staged the project ‘Frauenbilder’ (Images of Women) – opera scenes with chamber orchestra.

From September 2023 to June 2025, she was a member of the Swiss Opera Studio in Biel, where she completed her Master's degree in Performance Specialised Opera at the HKB under Tanja Ariane Baumgartner. She made her debut at the Biel Solothurn Theatre Orchestra as ‘Alpengeist’ in the chamber formation of the world premiere of Heidi feiert Weihnachten by Fabian Müller. This was followed by her stage debuts as ‘Barbarina’ in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro, ‘Servilia’ in La clemenza di Tito and ‘Papagena’ in Die Zauberflöte in Bühnen Bern.

She also sang the Swiss national anthem a cappella and solo for prominent politicians at the Federal Palace in Bern during the swearing-in ceremony for the Council of States. In spring 2024 she won two prizes at the 33rd International Singing Competition of the Chamber Opera Schloss Rheinsberg and performed in the opera gala with the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt under the baton of Azis Sadikovic the following summer. In spring 2025, she performed in the matinee concert ‘Der Traum von Arkadien’ (The Dream of Arcadia) as part of the Rheinsberg Easter Festival, accompanied by a quartet from the Barenboim-Said Academy. Shortly afterwards, she won 4th prize at the Elvirissima Competition in Lucerne.

From September 2025, she will complete her second Performance Master's degree at HEMU Lausanne under Jeanne-Michèle Charbonnet.
